Before you take it
Meftagesic P 50mg/125mg Tablet DT may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.<br>Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.
Meftagesic P 50mg/125mg Tablet DT is safe to use during lactation. Human studies have shown that either the drug does not pass into the breastmilk in significant amount or is not expected to cause toxicity to the baby.
Taking Mefenamic Acid+Paracetamol/Acetaminophen with alcohol can cause liver damage.
May cause drowsiness or affect your concentration. Do not drive until you know how it affects you.
Meftagesic P 50mg/125mg Tablet DT should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Meftagesic P 50mg/125mg Tablet DT may be needed. Please consult your doctor.<br>Use of Meftagesic P 50mg/125mg Tablet DT is not recommended in patients with severe kidney disease.

Monograph
Meftagesic P Suspension contains Paracetamol (125mg) + Mefenamic Acid (50mg) and is used for meftagesic P 50mg/125mg. Prescription required.
Meftagesic P 50mg/125mg Tablet DT is used for pain relief and fever. It relieves pain and inflammation in conditions like rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis and menstrual pain. It is also used to treat mild to moderate pain.
Meftagesic P 50mg/125mg Tablet DT is a combination of two medicines: Mefenamic Acid and Paracetamol/Acetaminophen. It works by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers that cause fever, pain and inflammation (redness and swelling).
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Dissolve it in a glass of water before taking it. Meftagesic P 50mg/125mg Tablet DT is to be taken with food.<br>This will help to avoid acidity and heartburn.

Never exceed the daily maximum printed on the pack. Paracetamol overdose damages the liver, and the damage can be silent for a day or two before it becomes serious. Check every other medicine you are taking. Paracetamol is in a very large number of cold, flu and pain combinations, and the doses add together. If you drink alcohol regularly, or have liver disease, ask your doctor what daily limit is safe for you. See a doctor if fever lasts more than three days, or pain more than five. Take it with or just after food, and for the shortest time that works. Stop and seek urgent care for black or tarry stools, vomiting blood, or severe stomach pain — this group can cause bleeding from the stomach. Long or high-dose use raises the risk of heart attack, stroke and kidney injury, particularly in older people and those already at risk. Avoid if you are dehydrated or have an illness with vomiting or loose motions — the kidneys are vulnerable then. Must be avoided in the last three months of pregnancy.
Regular alcohol use increases the risk of liver injury. Tell your doctor if you are on warfarin — regular high-dose paracetamol can affect it. Combining with a blood thinner or aspirin sharply raises the bleeding risk. Reduces the effect of blood pressure medicines and water tablets, and together with them can harm the kidneys. Never take two anti-inflammatory painkillers at the same time.
Store below 30°C, away from direct sunlight. Do not freeze. Once opened, use it within the period printed on the pack. Keep out of the reach of children.
