Tablet
Prevention and treatment of calcium and vitamin D deficiency, bone health support in osteopenia/osteoporosis, adjunct supplementation in fracture healing, nutritional support in deficiency states
Calcium citrate provides elemental calcium for bone mineralization, while vitamin D3 increases intestinal calcium and phosphate absorption. Zinc and magnesium support bone formation and muscle function. Calcium folinate (active folate) and pyridoxal-5-phosphate (active vitamin B6) help correct associated nutritional deficiencies and support normal metabolic functions.
Tablet for oral use. Take as advised by the doctor, usually once daily after food with water. Do not exceed recommended dose; maintain a gap of at least 2–4 hours from thyroid medicines, tetracycline/quinolone antibiotics, iron, or bisphosphonates.
Constipation, nausea, stomach upset, bloating, abdominal pain, diarrhea, metallic taste
Use with caution in patients with kidney disease, kidney stones (nephrolithiasis), hypercalcemia, hypervitaminosis D, sarcoidosis/other granulomatous diseases, or severe dehydration. Prolonged high intake may cause high calcium levels (symptoms: vomiting, constipation, excessive thirst/urination, confusion). Monitor calcium/vitamin D in patients on long-term therapy or with renal impairment. Not a substitute for a balanced diet.
Levothyroxine (reduced absorption), tetracyclines and quinolones (reduced antibiotic absorption), bisphosphonates (reduced absorption), iron salts (mutual absorption reduction), thiazide diuretics (increased risk of hypercalcemia), digoxin (arrhythmia risk with hypercalcemia), antacids/laxatives containing magnesium (additive magnesium load), corticosteroids (reduced calcium absorption)
Store below 25°C in a cool, dry place away from light and moisture. Keep container tightly closed and out of reach of children.
