Treatment and prevention of Influenza (flu)

Olsivir Capsule is a neuraminidase inhibitor. It inhibits neuraminidase (influenza virus enzyme), which helps the viruses to enter uninfected cells of the body to cause or spread influenza infection in the body. This is how it works against the virus to treat influenza (flu).

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Olsivir Capsule may be taken with or without food.

Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them

Antivirals work best when started early — within the first day or two of symptoms for most infections. Complete the course exactly as prescribed; stopping early can allow the virus to become resistant. Drink plenty of water, particularly with aciclovir and its relatives. Treatment for chronic hepatitis must never be stopped without your specialist's advice.

Several antivirals interact with other medicines — tell your doctor everything you take, including supplements.
