Before you take it
Parkin Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.<br>Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.
Parkin Tablet should be used with caution during lactation. Breast feeding should be held until the treatment of the mother is completed and the drug is eliminated from her body.<br>Milk secretion may decrease.
Parkin Tablet may cause excessive drowsiness and calmness with alcohol.
Do not drive or operate machinery while taking this medicine.
There is limited information available on the use of Parkin Tablet in patients with kidney disease. Please consult your doctor.<br>Patients with kidney disease should be closely monitored by a doctor while taking this medicine.

Parkin Tablet is used in Parkinson's disease and drug induced abnormal movements.
Parkin Tablet is an anticholinergic medication. It works by decreasing the activity of a chemical messenger (acetylcholine) in the brain. This improves muscle control and reduces stiffness in Parkinson's disease. It also improves movement disorder (restlessness, involuntary movements or muscle spasm) caused by certain other medicines.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Parkin Tablet is to be taken with food.

Never stop a Parkinson's medicine suddenly — this can cause a severe and dangerous deterioration. Dose timing matters a great deal in Parkinson's disease. Take it at exactly the times prescribed. Report sudden daytime sleep attacks, hallucinations, or new gambling, spending or other impulsive behaviour — these are recognised effects and the dose may need review. Rise slowly from sitting or lying; a drop in blood pressure on standing is common.
Anti-emetics such as metoclopramide and some antipsychotics can worsen Parkinson's symptoms. High-protein meals can reduce the absorption of levodopa — ask your doctor about timing.
