Pirapil-1200 is a prescription medicine containing Piracetam (1200mg). Loss of Memory in Alzheimer's disease Post-Trauma or Age related memory loss Treatment of Post-Trauma Vertigo Stroke Dementia in Parkinson's disease Head injury. It belongs to the group of medicines called Central nervous system agent.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. The dose and how long you take it depend on what you are being treated for and how you respond. Do not take more, or for longer, than your doctor has advised.
The side effects seen most often with Pirapil-1200 are drowsiness, dizziness, nausea and dry mouth. Most are mild and settle as the body gets used to the medicine. Tell your doctor if one persists or worries you.
Before you start, tell your doctor about any liver, kidney or heart problem, whether you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy or breastfeeding, and every other medicine you take, including supplements and ayurvedic preparations. Some of them can change how Pirapil-1200 works.

Most side effects of Pirapil-1200 are mild and settle as the body gets used to the medicine. The ones reported most often are:
Stop the medicine and get help at once for a rash, swelling of the face or lips, wheezing or difficulty breathing. Tell your doctor about any side effect that persists or worries you.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Pirapil 1200mg Tablet may be taken with or without food.
Pirapil 1200mg Tablet is a nootropic medicine. It works by increasing the activity of a chemical messenger (acetylcholine), which improves communication between the nerve cells. It also protects the brain and nervous system from damage caused by a lack of oxygen.
Do not stop this medicine suddenly without asking your doctor. This medicine causes drowsiness. Do not drive or operate machinery until you know how it affects you. Report any change in mood, sleep or behaviour.
If you miss a dose of Pirapil 1200mg Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
An overdose of this medicine can cause deep drowsiness, confusion and fits. Do not wait for symptoms to appear — go to the nearest emergency department and take the pack or strip with you.
Alcohol and other sedating medicines add to the drowsiness.
Store below 30°C in the original pack, away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep out of the reach of children.
