Quecto Spirulina Capsule is a medicine containing Spirulina. It is used for protein supplementation, nutritional support, recovery and convalescence. It belongs to the group of medicines called Protein and amino-acid supplement.
Swallow the capsule whole with a glass of water. The dose and how long you take it depend on what you are being treated for and how you respond. Do not take more, or for longer, than your doctor has advised.
The side effects seen most often with Quecto Spirulina Capsule are bloating, flatulence, loose motions and nausea. Most are mild and settle as the body gets used to the medicine. Tell your doctor if one persists or worries you.
Before you start, tell your doctor about any liver, kidney or heart problem, whether you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy or breastfeeding, and every other medicine you take, including supplements and ayurvedic preparations. Some of them can change how Quecto Spirulina Capsule works.
Most side effects of Quecto Spirulina are mild and settle as the body gets used to the medicine. The ones reported most often are:
Stop the medicine and get help at once for a rash, swelling of the face or lips, wheezing or difficulty breathing. Tell your doctor about any side effect that persists or worries you.
Swallow the capsule whole with a glass of water. Do not chew, crush or break it unless your doctor has told you to. Take it with or between meals. Taking it at about the same time each day helps you remember. Follow the dose and the duration written on your prescription.
Spirulina supplies protein and amino acids, the building blocks your body uses to repair and maintain muscle and tissue.
Tell your doctor before taking a protein supplement if you have kidney disease — the protein load matters. Drink plenty of water while taking a protein supplement. Check the label for milk or soy if you have an allergy or are lactose intolerant.
Take it as soon as you remember. If your next dose is almost due, skip the one you missed — never take two doses together to catch up.
An overdose of this medicine may cause stomach upset and, with prolonged excess, puts avoidable load on the kidneys. Do not wait for symptoms to appear — go to the nearest emergency department and take the pack or strip with you.
No significant medicine interactions are expected for most protein supplements.
