Ribaxa Plus 150 mg Tablet is a prescription medicine containing Olaparib (150mg). It is used for breast cancer and treatment of Ovarian cancer. It belongs to the group of medicines called Prescription-only medicine.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. The dose and how long you take it depend on what you are being treated for and how you respond. Do not take more, or for longer, than your doctor has advised.
The side effects seen most often with Ribaxa Plus 150 mg Tablet are nausea, fatigue, anemia (low number of red blood cells) and vomiting. Most are mild and settle as the body gets used to the medicine. Tell your doctor if one persists or worries you.
Before you start, tell your doctor about any liver, kidney or heart problem, whether you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy or breastfeeding, and every other medicine you take, including supplements and ayurvedic preparations. Some of them can change how Ribaxa Plus 150 mg Tablet works.
Most side effects of Ribaxa Plus are mild and settle as the body gets used to the medicine. The ones reported most often are:
Stop the medicine and get help at once for a rash, swelling of the face or lips, wheezing or difficulty breathing. Tell your doctor about any side effect that persists or worries you.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it.
Ribaxa + 150mg Tablet is an anticancer medication. It works by inhibiting the growth of select tumor cell lines in vitro and decrease tumor growth in both as monotherapy or following chemotherapy.
This is a prescription-only medicine. Take it exactly as your doctor has directed, for the period directed. Do not share it with anyone else, even if their symptoms seem the same. Tell your doctor about every other medicine, supplement and herbal product you take. Report any unexpected or severe symptom to your doctor rather than stopping on your own.
Take it as soon as you remember. If your next dose is almost due, skip the one you missed — never take two doses together to catch up.
An overdose of this medicine may be harmful — seek medical advice immediately. Do not wait for symptoms to appear — go to the nearest emergency department and take the pack or strip with you.
