Tablet
Treatment and prevention of riboflavin (vitamin B2) deficiency, nutritional supplementation in deficiency states due to poor diet, malabsorption, chronic illness, alcoholism, or increased requirements
Riboflavin is a water‑soluble B vitamin that is converted to FMN and FAD, coenzymes essential for energy production and normal cellular metabolism. It supports red blood cell function and maintains healthy skin, eyes and mucous membranes.
Take by mouth as directed by physician. Usually taken once daily; may be taken with food to reduce stomach upset. Swallow tablet with water; do not exceed recommended dose unless advised.
Yellow discoloration of urine, nausea, stomach upset, diarrhea, headache, rash (rare)
Use with caution in patients with known hypersensitivity to riboflavin. Riboflavin may cause harmless bright yellow urine. If symptoms of allergy (rash, itching, swelling) occur, stop and seek medical advice. Nutritional supplements are not a substitute for a balanced diet.
No clinically significant interactions at usual doses; absorption may be reduced by chronic alcohol use, probenecid, phenothiazines, and some anticonvulsants (e.g., phenytoin)
Store below 25°C in a cool, dry place. Protect from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.
