Timofex 180MG Tab

Timofex 180MG Tab contains Fexofenadine hydrochloride 180 mg.

Relief of symptoms of allergic rhinitis (hay fever) such as sneezing, runny/blocked nose, itchy/watery eyes; treatment of chronic idiopathic urticaria (hives) with itching and wheals.

Fexofenadine is a second-generation antihistamine (H1 receptor blocker). It prevents histamine from binding to H1 receptors, reducing allergy symptoms like itching, sneezing and hives with minimal drowsiness in most people.

Oral tablet. Usual adult dose: 180 mg once daily or as directed by doctor. Take with water, with or without food. Avoid taking with fruit juices (apple/orange/grapefruit) and keep a 2-hour gap from aluminium/magnesium antacids as they can reduce absorption.

Headache, dizziness, nausea, indigestion, dry mouth, fatigue, drowsiness (uncommon)

Do not use if allergic to fexofenadine. Use with caution in kidney disease and in elderly (dose adjustment may be needed). If symptoms persist/worsen, consult a doctor. May cause dizziness in some people—use caution while driving/operating machinery. Avoid self-medicating in children, pregnancy or breastfeeding without medical advice.

Fruit juices (apple/orange/grapefruit) may reduce effect, aluminium/magnesium antacids reduce absorption, erythromycin may increase levels, ketoconazole may increase levels, rifampicin may reduce levels

Store below 25°C in a cool, dry place. Protect from moisture and direct light. Keep out of reach of children.
