Vault 20 mg Tablet is a prescription medicine containing Vonoprazan (20mg). Treatment of acid-peptic disorders such as gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), erosive esophagitis, gastritis/acid reflux symptoms (heartburn, regurgitation). Also used as part of H. pylori eradication regimens when prescribed with antibiotics. It belongs to the group of medicines called Potassium-competitive acid blocker (P-CAB).
Take as advised by your doctor. The dose and how long you take it depend on what you are being treated for and how you respond. Do not take more, or for longer, than your doctor has advised.
The side effects seen most often with Vault 20 mg Tablet are diarrhea, nausea, abdominal pain and constipation. Most are mild and settle as the body gets used to the medicine. Tell your doctor if one persists or worries you.
Before you start, tell your doctor about any liver, kidney or heart problem, whether you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy or breastfeeding, and every other medicine you take, including supplements and ayurvedic preparations. Some of them can change how Vault 20 mg Tablet works.

Most side effects of Vault are mild and settle as the body gets used to the medicine. The ones reported most often are:
Stop the medicine and get help at once for a rash, swelling of the face or lips, wheezing or difficulty breathing. Tell your doctor about any side effect that persists or worries you.
Take as advised by your doctor. Usually taken once daily at the same time each day; can be taken with or without food. Swallow tablet whole with water; do not crush or chew. Continue for the full prescribed duration even if symptoms improve.
Vonoprazan is a potassium-competitive acid blocker (P-CAB). It directly and reversibly inhibits the gastric H+/K+-ATPase (proton pump), providing rapid and sustained reduction of stomach acid secretion.
Long-term acid suppression may increase risk of vitamin B12 deficiency, low magnesium, and fractures; use the lowest effective dose for the shortest duration. Seek medical advice if you have alarm symptoms (vomiting blood, black stools, unexplained weight loss, persistent vomiting, difficulty swallowing). Use with caution in severe liver disease. May mask symptoms of gastric malignancy—evaluate persistent/worsening symptoms. Not intended for immediate relief of acute chest pain.
Take it as soon as you remember. If your next dose is almost due, skip the one you missed — never take two doses together to catch up.
An overdose of this medicine may cause confusion, blurred vision, sweating and a fast heartbeat. Do not wait for symptoms to appear — go to the nearest emergency department and take the pack or strip with you.
Store below 25°C, in original pack, protected from moisture and light. Keep out of reach of children.
