Vitamin C (Ascorbic Acid)

Prevention and treatment of vitamin C deficiency, nutritional supplementation, support during recovery from illness, immunity support, antioxidant supplementation

Vitamin C is a water‑soluble vitamin and antioxidant needed for collagen formation, wound healing, and normal immune function. It helps neutralize free radicals and improves iron absorption from the gut.

Use as directed by physician or as per label. Typically taken orally once daily; can be taken with or without food (take after food if it causes stomach upset). Swallow tablet/capsule with water; do not exceed recommended dose.

Nausea, stomach upset, abdominal cramps, diarrhoea, heartburn

Use with caution in patients with kidney stones/oxalate stone history, severe renal impairment, or hemochromatosis/thalassemia (may increase iron absorption). High doses for prolonged periods may increase risk of kidney stones and cause gastrointestinal upset. If pregnant/breastfeeding, diabetic, or on long-term medicines, consult a doctor before use.

Warfarin (may affect anticoagulant effect at high doses), Deferoxamine (increases iron-related toxicity risk), Aluminium-containing antacids (may increase aluminium absorption), Chemotherapy/radiation (antioxidants may interfere—consult oncologist)

Store in a cool, dry place below 25°C. Protect from moisture, heat and direct sunlight. Keep out of reach of children.
