Vogligress M 0.2 Tablet

Vogligress-M 0.2 Tablet SR is used in the treatment of type 2 diabetes.

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Vogligress-M 0.2 Tablet SR is to be taken with food.<br>Vogligress-M 0.2 Tablet SR may cause stomach upset if taken on empty stomach.

Vogligress-M 0.2 Tablet SR is a combination of two antidiabetic medicines: Metformin and voglibose. Metformin lowers the production and absorption of sugar in your body and allows better use of existing insulin. Voglibose inhibits the intestinal enzymes that cause breakdown of complex sugars into simple sugars such as glucose. This prevents blood glucose from rising very high after meals.

Stomach upset is common in the first two weeks and usually settles; taking it with food helps. Tell your doctor before any surgery or a scan that uses contrast dye — this medicine is usually stopped for a short time around them. Stop and seek urgent care if you develop deep rapid breathing, severe weakness, muscle pain or vomiting with cold clammy skin. This is rare but serious. Long-term use can lower vitamin B12, so your doctor may check it from time to time. If you feel shaky, sweaty, confused or unusually hungry, take sugar, glucose or a sweet drink at once and tell your doctor — these are signs your blood sugar has fallen too low. If a low-sugar episode happens while on an alpha-glucosidase inhibitor such as voglibose or acarbose, use glucose — ordinary sugar and sweets work more slowly. Tell your doctor about any new swelling of the ankles, breathlessness or sudden weight gain.

Monitor your blood sugar level regularly </li> <li>Always carry some sugary food or fruit juice with you in case you experience hypoglycemia symptoms such as cold sweats, cool pale skin, tremor, and anxious feeling.</li> <li>Tell your doctor immediately if you experience any deep or rapid breathing, persistent nausea, vomiting or stomach pain as Prandial M 0.2 Tablet may cause a rare but serious condition called lactic acidosis, which is an excess of lactic acid in the blood.</li></ul></div></div></div></div></div></div>
