Treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure), especially when single medicine is not enough; helps reduce risk of cardiovascular complications associated with uncontrolled BP

Telmisartan is an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB) that relaxes blood vessels by blocking angiotensin II action. Chlorthalidone is a thiazide-like diuretic that helps remove excess salt and water via urine, lowering blood volume and blood pressure.

Take as prescribed by a doctor, usually once daily at the same time each day, with or without food. Swallow tablet whole with water; do not stop abruptly. Regularly monitor blood pressure and kidney function/electrolytes.

Not recommended in pregnancy; stop and consult doctor if pregnancy occurs. Use caution in kidney or liver disease, dehydration, low salt states, gout, diabetes, or electrolyte imbalance. May cause dizziness—avoid driving if affected. Periodic monitoring of BP, kidney function (creatinine), and electrolytes (potassium, sodium) is advised. Seek urgent care for swelling of face/lips (angioedema) or severe fainting.

Other antihypertensives (additive BP lowering), NSAIDs (reduced effect/renal risk), lithium (toxicity risk), potassium supplements/potassium-sparing diuretics or salt substitutes (high potassium risk with telmisartan), diuretics/corticosteroids (electrolyte imbalance), alcohol (increased dizziness), antidiabetic medicines (glucose changes possible), digoxin (telmisartan may increase digoxin levels)

Store below 25°C in a cool, dry place away from moisture and direct light. Keep in original blister pack and out of reach of children.
