Prevention and treatment of vitamin C deficiency (scurvy), dietary supplementation during increased requirement (poor diet, illness, recovery), supports immune function and wound healing

Ascorbic acid is an essential water‑soluble vitamin and antioxidant. It is required for collagen synthesis and tissue repair, enhances iron absorption from the gut, and helps protect cells from oxidative damage.

Take by mouth as advised by the physician. Commonly 1 tablet once daily (or as directed), preferably after food to reduce gastric irritation; swallow with water. Do not exceed the recommended dose.

Nausea, stomach upset, heartburn, abdominal cramps, diarrhea, headache

Use with caution in patients with history of kidney stones, severe renal impairment, or hemochromatosis/thalassemia (may increase iron absorption). High doses or prolonged use can increase risk of oxalate kidney stones and may interfere with some lab tests (e.g., glucose, stool occult blood). If pregnant, breastfeeding, or on long-term medicines, consult a doctor before use.

Iron supplements (increases iron absorption), aluminum-containing antacids (may increase aluminum absorption), warfarin (high doses may affect anticoagulant effect), certain chemotherapy agents (antioxidant use should be discussed with oncologist)

Store below 25°C in a cool, dry place. Protect from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.
