Prepare your application

Have the patient's identity and age, recipient details, requested dates, relevant medical history, current medicines and supporting records ready. If applying for a child or someone else, include your relationship and authority to act.

Ask the recipient whether they require a named format, original paper copy, recent measurements or an in-person examination. Upload any required format and evidence during the application. The clinician may request further information before deciding.

What you get

A medical certificate is a doctor’s professional opinion. It is only worth something if a registered practitioner actually assessed you and is accountable for what they signed. That is why there is no automatic issuance here, and why some applications need a call, reports or an examination first.

Questions

Is a certificate issued online valid?
A certificate issued by a registered medical practitioner after an appropriate assessment is a valid medical certificate, whether the assessment was remote or in person. Whether a particular organisation accepts it depends on its own rules, so check whether they need a specific format or an in-person examination.
Can the certificate cover days that have already passed?
Only if the doctor can assess them. Leave that began shortly before you apply can often be certified from your history; the doctor will not certify dates they cannot assess, and requests more than six months in the past are not accepted.
Can the doctor use my organisation's format?
Yes. Upload the format while applying; it adds ₹250. The doctor completes it only with what they can certify.
How much does a sick leave certificate cost?
Digital packages start at ₹699. Prescription assessment, handwritten scans and shipping are separate package choices. Your selected package, total, review timing and refund terms are shown before payment. Issuance depends on the clinician’s assessment.
What happens if the doctor can't issue the certificate?
The doctor may first ask for more information, a call or reports. If they decide a certificate isn't appropriate, it isn't issued and a refund is processed under our refund policy, which may deduct a doctor review fee.
How can my employer or college check the certificate?
Each certificate has a unique number and a QR code. Scanning the code or opening its verification link confirms the certificate was issued through PingMeDoc and has not been revoked.
