How Airmont L Tablet works

Montelukast is a leukotriene receptor antagonist that blocks leukotrienes responsible for airway inflammation, bronchoconstriction and mucus formation. Levocetirizine is a second-generation antihistamine that blocks H1 receptors to reduce sneezing, itching and runny nose.

How to take Airmont L Tablet

Tablet for oral use. Usually taken once daily in the evening or as directed by the doctor; can be taken with or without food. Swallow whole with water; do not exceed prescribed dose.

Missed dose and overdose

If you miss a dose

Take the missed dose of Airmont L as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed one and carry on with the usual schedule. Do not take two doses together to make up for a missed dose.

May cause drowsiness—avoid driving/alcohol until you know how it affects you. Use with caution in kidney disease (dose adjustment may be needed due to levocetirizine). Montelukast has been associated with mood/behavior changes (agitation, anxiety, depression, sleep disturbance, suicidal thoughts)—seek medical help if these occur. Not meant for acute asthma attack relief; keep rescue inhaler if prescribed. Inform doctor if you have liver disease, history of psychiatric illness, or are on other sedatives.
