Prevention and treatment of dehydration due to acute diarrhoea, vomiting, excessive sweating, heat/exertion; fluid and electrolyte replacement

How it works

ORS provides an optimal balance of glucose and electrolytes to enhance sodium and water absorption from the intestine via glucose-sodium co-transport. This restores body fluids and corrects electrolyte imbalance caused by dehydration.

Directions for use

Dissolve the entire 21.8 g sachet in the specified quantity of clean drinking water (typically 1 litre; follow pack instructions). Stir well and use within 24 hours; do not boil after mixing. Give small frequent sips; in children, continue breastfeeding/normal feeds. Do not mix with दूध/juice/soft drinks and do not add extra sugar or salt.
