Treatment and prevention of Influenza (flu)
Antiflu 12mg/ml Syrup is a neuraminidase inhibitor. It inhibits neuraminidase (influenza virus enzyme), which helps the viruses to enter uninfected cells of the body to cause or spread influenza infection in the body. This is how it works against the virus to treat influenza (flu).
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Measure it with a measuring cup and take it by mouth. Shake well before use. Antiflu 12mg/ml Syrup may be taken with or without food.
Take it exactly as your doctor prescribed. Do not change the dose or stop early on your own.
If you miss a dose of Antiflu 12mg/ml Syrup, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
Taking more Antiflu than prescribed can be harmful. If you suspect an overdose, contact a doctor or go to the nearest emergency department at once, and carry the pack or strip with you. In India the emergency number is 112.
Most side effects of Antiflu are mild and settle as the body adjusts. Reported side effects include:
Stop the medicine and seek help immediately for a rash, swelling of the face or lips, wheezing or difficulty breathing. Tell your doctor about any side effect that persists or worries you.

Tell your doctor or pharmacist about every medicine you take, including over-the-counter products, vitamins and herbal or ayurvedic preparations, before starting Antiflu. Some combinations can change how Antiflu works or raise the chance of side effects.
Store Antiflu below 30°C in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep the pack tightly closed and out of the reach of children. Do not use it after the expiry date printed on the pack.
Take Antiflu 12mg/ml Syrup exactly as prescribed and complete the full course, even if you start feeling better. Consider taking Antiflu 12mg/ml Syrup with food to reduce stomach upset. Antiflu 12mg/ml Syrup is not a substitute for influenza vaccination, and your doctor may recommend both. Drink plenty of fluids and get adequate rest while recovering from flu symptoms. Small, frequent meals may help if nausea or vomiting occurs while taking Antiflu 12mg/ml Syrup. Inform your doctor immediately if you notice unusual mood changes, confusion, agitation, or behavioral changes, especially in children and adolescents. Seek urgent medical help if you have breathing difficulty, a very high fever, severe weakness, confusion, or bluish lips. Wash your hands often, wear a mask if advised, and avoid close contact with others to reduce the spread of flu. Inform your doctor if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or have kidney disease before taking Antiflu 12mg/ml Syrup. Consult your doctor if symptoms worsen or return after initial improvement.
