How Antiseptic Cream works

Antiseptic creams help prevent and control infection by inhibiting the growth of bacteria on the skin surface. They also support healing by keeping the affected area clean and protected.

How to take Antiseptic Cream

For external use only. Clean the affected area, apply a thin layer 1–3 times daily or as directed by a physician. Cover with sterile dressing if required. Avoid contact with eyes, mouth and other mucous membranes.

Take it exactly as your doctor prescribed. Do not change the dose or stop early on your own.

Missed dose and overdose

If you miss a dose

Take the missed dose of Antiseptic as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed one and carry on with the usual schedule. Do not take two doses together to make up for a missed dose.

If you take too much

Taking more Antiseptic than prescribed can be harmful. If you suspect an overdose, contact a doctor or go to the nearest emergency department at once, and carry the pack or strip with you. In India the emergency number is 112.

Side effects of Antiseptic Cream

Most side effects of Antiseptic are mild and settle as the body adjusts. Reported side effects include:

Warnings and precautions

Stop use and seek medical advice if irritation, swelling, worsening redness or allergy occurs. Do not use on deep puncture wounds, serious burns, large areas, or severe/oozing infections without medical supervision. Do not apply to eyes, inside nose/mouth, or genitals unless advised. Keep out of reach of children. If swallowed, seek medical help.

Interactions with other medicines

No known significant interactions with topical use; avoid using simultaneously with other topical irritants/peeling agents on the same area unless advised

How to store Antiseptic Cream

Store below 25°C in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Keep the tube tightly closed. Do not freeze.
