Aurolube Eye Drops contains Polyvinyl Alcohol (Including Pvp) (1.4% w/v) + Povidone Iodine (0.6% w/v). It belongs to the Ocular demulcent/lubricant class of medicines.

How Aurolube Eye Drops works

Lubricating eye drops add moisture to the eye surface and stabilize the tear film. This reduces friction on the cornea and conjunctiva, easing irritation and dryness symptoms.

How to take Aurolube Eye Drops

For ophthalmic use only. Instill 1 drop in the affected eye(s) as needed or as advised by a doctor. Wash hands, avoid touching the dropper tip, and keep the bottle tightly closed. If using other eye medicines, keep a 10–15 minute gap.

Take it exactly as your doctor prescribed. Do not change the dose or stop early on your own.

Missed dose and overdose

If you miss a dose

If you miss a dose of Aurolube Eye Drop, skip it and continue with your normal schedule. Do not double the dose.

If you take too much

Taking more Aurolube than prescribed can be harmful. If you suspect an overdose, contact a doctor or go to the nearest emergency department at once, and carry the pack or strip with you. In India the emergency number is 112.

Warnings and precautions

No clinically significant drug interactions expected; when using multiple eye drops/ointments, separate administration by 10–15 minutes.

How to store Aurolube Eye Drops

Store below 25°C in a cool, dry place away from light. Do not freeze. Keep bottle tightly closed. Discard as per label after opening (commonly within 4 weeks) if instructed.

Your doctor has prescribed Aurolube Eye Drop to reduce dryness in the eyes. To avoid contamination, do not touch the dropper tip or let it touch your eye or any other surface. Apply pressure on the corner of the eye (close to the nose) for about 1 minute, immediately after instilling the medication. This will prevent the medication from draining out. Try not to blink or rub your eye. Make sure to use it within 4 weeks of opening the bottle. Try to keep your environment less dry by reducing excessive use of room heaters or using a humidifier. Wear glasses or sunglasses to protect your eyes from wind and dust when out in a hot, dry climate. Rest your eyes by taking regular breaks if you spend long periods in front of a screen.
