Iron deficiency anemia
Carbinject 500mg Injection is an anti-anemic medication. It replenishes the iron stores in your body. Iron is vital for the formation of new red blood cells and hemoglobin, a substance that gives these cells the ability to transport oxygen.
Your doctor or nurse will give you this medicine. Kindly do not self administer.
Take it exactly as your doctor prescribed. Do not change the dose or stop early on your own.
If you miss a dose of Carbinject 500mg Injection, please consult your doctor.
Taking more Carbinject than prescribed can be harmful. If you suspect an overdose, contact a doctor or go to the nearest emergency department at once, and carry the pack or strip with you. In India the emergency number is 112.
Most side effects of Carbinject are mild and settle as the body adjusts. Reported side effects include:
Stop the medicine and seek help immediately for a rash, swelling of the face or lips, wheezing or difficulty breathing. Tell your doctor about any side effect that persists or worries you.

Tell your doctor or pharmacist about every medicine you take, including over-the-counter products, vitamins and herbal or ayurvedic preparations, before starting Carbinject. Some combinations can change how Carbinject works or raise the chance of side effects.
Store Carbinject below 30°C in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep the pack tightly closed and out of the reach of children. Do not use it after the expiry date printed on the pack.
Carbinject 500mg Injection is used for the treatment of iron deficiency, when oral iron preparations are ineffective or cannot be used. Your doctor or nurse will administer it by injection. You will be observed for at least 30 minutes after each injection as it may cause allergic reaction. Your blood pressure and blood iron levels will be regularly monitored during treatment with this medication. Inform your doctor if you are taking any iron-containing products by mouth. Do not consume alcohol when on treatment with this medicine as it may worsen its side effects. It may cause your stools to become black or dark in color. This is normal and harmless.
