How Clingen Forte works

Clindamycin is an antibiotic which stops bacterial growth by preventing the synthesis of essential proteins required by the bacteria to carry out vital functions. Clotrimazole is an antifungal medicine which stops the growth of fungi by preventing them from forming their protective covering. Tinidazole is also an antibiotic which kills other infectious microorganisms in addition to bacteria by damaging their DNA.

How to take Clingen Forte

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Wash and dry your vaginal area. Lie on your back and gently insert the capsule into the vagina as high as possible with or without the use of an applicator as mentioned in the label.

Take it exactly as your doctor prescribed. Do not change the dose or stop early on your own.

Missed dose and overdose

If you miss a dose

If you miss a dose of Clingen Forte Vaginal Capsule, use it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

If you take too much

Taking more Clingen Forte than prescribed can be harmful. If you suspect an overdose, contact a doctor or go to the nearest emergency department at once, and carry the pack or strip with you. In India the emergency number is 112.

Side effects of Clingen Forte

Most side effects of Clingen Forte are mild and settle as the body adjusts. Reported side effects include:

How to store Clingen Forte

Store Clingen Forte below 30°C in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep the pack tightly closed and out of the reach of children. Do not use it after the expiry date printed on the pack.

Clingen Forte Vaginal Capsule is inserted into the vagina using an applicator, usually at night before going to bed. Do not skip any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better. Avoid contact with your eyes. If accidental exposure occurs, rinse immediately with plenty of water. It can damage condoms and diaphragms and make them ineffective at preventing pregnancy. Ask your doctor about other suitable methods of preventing pregnancy. It may cause minor burning, stinging, or irritation when applied. Inform your doctor if this does not go away. Inform your doctor if your symptoms do not get improved within 3 days of taking the medicine.
