Clop Lotion contains Clobetasol (0.05%w/v).
Clop Lotion is used in the treatment of skin infections.
Clop Lotion is a steroid. It works by blocking the production of certain chemical messengers (prostaglandins) that make the skin red, swollen and itchy.
Take the missed dose of Clop as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed one and carry on with the usual schedule. Do not take two doses together to make up for a missed dose.
Taking more Clop than prescribed can be harmful. If you suspect an overdose, contact a doctor or go to the nearest emergency department at once, and carry the pack or strip with you. In India the emergency number is 112.
| Pregnancy | Clop Lotion may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.<br>Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor. |
|---|---|
| Breastfeeding | Clop Lotion is probably safe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent a significant risk to the baby. |
Tell your doctor or pharmacist about every medicine you take, including over-the-counter products, vitamins and herbal or ayurvedic preparations, before starting Clop. Some combinations can change how Clop works or raise the chance of side effects.
Store Clop below 30°C in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep the pack tightly closed and out of the reach of children. Do not use it after the expiry date printed on the pack.
