Minocycline 100 mg (as minocycline hydrochloride) capsule
Bacterial infections caused by susceptible organisms, including acne vulgaris, respiratory tract infections, skin and soft tissue infections, genitourinary infections, and certain other infections where tetracyclines are indicated
Minocycline is a tetracycline antibiotic that inhibits bacterial protein synthesis by binding to the 30S ribosomal subunit. This blocks the addition of amino acids to the growing peptide chain, thereby stopping bacterial growth.
Take the capsule exactly as prescribed by the doctor. Usually taken with a full glass of water; may be taken with food if stomach upset occurs. Avoid taking with milk/dairy, antacids, iron, calcium, magnesium or zinc supplements within 2 hours before/after; do not lie down for at least 30 minutes after dosing.
