Antiseptic/disinfectant liquid for cleaning and disinfecting minor cuts, scrapes and insect bites; personal hygiene use (bath water); household surface and laundry disinfection (as per label directions).
Chloroxylenol is a broad-spectrum antiseptic that damages microbial cell walls and inhibits essential enzymes, helping kill bacteria and some fungi/viruses. Terpineol and alcohol enhance antimicrobial action and aid cleansing.
For external use only. Always dilute before use as per label. For minor wounds: clean area and apply diluted solution; do not use undiluted on skin. For bathing/hygiene: add the recommended capfuls to a bucket of water. For household surfaces/laundry: dilute in water and apply/wipe; allow contact time then rinse if needed.

A substitute contains the same active ingredient (salt), in the same strength, as Dettol Disinf.Liq.Cool. The medicine inside is the same — the brand name, manufacturer and price are what differ.
All medicines sold in India, branded or generic, must meet the quality standards set by the national drug regulator (CDSCO). A lower price does not mean lower quality.
Please confirm with your doctor or pharmacist before switching brands — they will check that the strength and form match your prescription.
Do not swallow. Avoid contact with eyes, mouth and mucous membranes; if contact occurs rinse with plenty of water. Do not use undiluted on skin. Stop use and seek medical advice if irritation/allergy occurs. Keep away from children and from heat/flames (contains alcohol). Not for deep wounds, serious burns or large areas unless advised by a doctor.
