Diclofenac liniment (topical NSAID products) reduce formation of prostaglandins at the site of application, thereby decreasing pain and inflammation. The liniment base helps deliver the medicine locally to muscles and joints.
For external use only. Apply a small amount to the affected area and gently massage until absorbed, usually 2-4 times daily or as directed by a doctor. Wash hands after use; avoid applying on broken/irritated skin and avoid contact with eyes, mouth and mucosa.
Common side effects of DICLOGAIN LINIMENT may include:
External use only. Do not apply on cuts, wounds, infected or eczematous skin. Stop use and consult a doctor if severe rash/irritation occurs. Use with caution in people allergic to diclofenac/other NSAIDs or with history of asthma triggered by NSAIDs. Avoid occlusive dressings or heat application unless advised. If pregnant (especially 3rd trimester) or breastfeeding, consult a doctor before use. Keep out of reach of children; if accidentally swallowed seek medical help.
