Esomeprazole (as magnesium) 40 mg

Esomeprazole is a proton pump inhibitor (PPI). It irreversibly blocks the gastric H+/K+ ATPase (proton pump) in stomach parietal cells, reducing acid secretion and allowing ulcers/erosions to heal.
Tablet: take as prescribed, usually once daily 30–60 minutes before food (preferably before breakfast). Swallow whole with water; do not crush or chew. Duration depends on condition (often 2–8 weeks for GERD/ulcers).

May mask symptoms of gastric malignancy; evaluation may be needed if symptoms persist.
