How to take Erinac SR

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Erinac SR Tablet should be taken with or after food.

Take it exactly as your doctor prescribed. Do not change the dose or stop early on your own.

Missed dose and overdose

If you miss a dose

If you miss a dose of Erinac SR Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

If you take too much

An overdose of this medicine can cause stomach bleeding, kidney failure, drowsiness and fits. Do not wait for symptoms to appear — go to the nearest emergency department and take the pack or strip with you.

Warnings and precautions

Take it with or just after food, and for the shortest time that works. Stop and seek urgent care for black or tarry stools, vomiting blood, or severe stomach pain — this group can cause bleeding from the stomach. Long or high-dose use raises the risk of heart attack, stroke and kidney injury, particularly in older people and those already at risk. Avoid if you are dehydrated or have an illness with vomiting or loose motions — the kidneys are vulnerable then. Must be avoided in the last three months of pregnancy.

Do not take Erinac SR if

Not for anyone with a known allergy to this medicine or to any ingredient in the pack. Not for people with an active stomach ulcer, severe kidney or heart failure, or asthma triggered by aspirin or anti-inflammatory painkillers. Not in the third trimester of pregnancy.

Interactions with other medicines

Combining with a blood thinner or aspirin sharply raises the bleeding risk. Reduces the effect of blood pressure medicines and water tablets, and together with them can harm the kidneys. Never take two anti-inflammatory painkillers at the same time.

Store below 30°C in the original pack, away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep out of the reach of children.
