Deflazacort 6 mg (tablet)
Treatment of inflammatory and autoimmune conditions such as asthma and allergic disorders, rheumatoid arthritis and other joint inflammations, skin diseases (eczema/dermatitis), nephrotic syndrome, and other conditions where corticosteroids are indicated.
Deflazacort is a corticosteroid that reduces inflammation and suppresses overactive immune responses. It decreases the release of inflammatory mediators and reduces swelling, redness, pain and allergic symptoms.
Take by mouth exactly as prescribed by the doctor, preferably at the same time each day, usually in the morning. Can be taken with food to reduce stomach upset. Do not stop suddenly; dose should be tapered as advised.
