Favipiravir 400 mg
Treatment of mild to moderate COVID-19 in adults (as per local guidelines/physician prescription); antiviral therapy for influenza has been studied/approved in some countries but use depends on regulatory guidance.
Favipiravir is an antiviral that is converted inside cells to an active form which inhibits viral RNA-dependent RNA polymerase. This blocks viral RNA replication and reduces viral multiplication.
Oral tablet. Take exactly as prescribed by the doctor; swallow whole with water, with or without food. Maintain adequate hydration and complete the full course; do not self-medicate for viral fever/COVID without medical advice.

Not recommended in pregnancy; contraindicated/avoid if pregnant due to risk of fetal harm. Women of childbearing potential should use effective contraception during treatment and for a period after the last dose as advised; men should use contraception as advised. Use with caution in liver impairment, kidney impairment, gout or high uric acid; monitor liver function and uric acid if prescribed. Seek urgent help for signs of allergy, severe rash, yellowing of eyes/skin, or worsening breathing symptoms.
