Glizid MR 30 mg Tablet is used for type 2 diabetes mellitus.
Medically reviewed by Dr. Balaji Krishnan, MBBS · Updated August 2026
Type 2 diabetes mellitus
Glizid-M XR 30 Tablet is a combination of gliclazide and metformin. Gliclazide stimulates the pancreas to release more insulin, which helps lower the amount of glucose in the blood after meals. At the same time, Metformin reduces the production of glucose in the liver and improves the body’s response to insulin, allowing glucose to be utilized more efficiently by the muscles and other tissues. Together, they help maintain stable blood sugar levels throughout the day.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Glizid-M XR 30 Tablet should be taken with or after food.
