Ketoconazole 2% w/w (medicated antifungal soap)
Fungal skin infections such as tinea (ringworm), athlete’s foot, jock itch, cutaneous candidiasis; helps reduce dandruff/seborrheic dermatitis when used on affected body areas as advised.
Ketoconazole is an imidazole antifungal that inhibits ergosterol synthesis, an essential component of fungal cell membranes. This damages the fungal membrane and stops fungal growth, relieving itching, redness and scaling.
For external use only. Wet skin, apply soap to affected area and surrounding skin, lather and leave for 1–2 minutes, then rinse and dry well. Use once daily or as directed by a doctor; continue for the full prescribed duration even if symptoms improve.
Common side effects of KETOAP SOAP may include:
Avoid contact with eyes, mouth and broken skin; rinse well if contact occurs. Stop use and seek medical advice if severe irritation, swelling or allergy occurs. Use with caution in infants/young children and on large areas unless advised. Not for intravaginal use.
