Ketonext Cream is an antifungal medication. It kills and stops the growth of the fungi by destroying its cell membrane, thereby treating your skin infection.

How to take Ketonext Cream

This medicine is for external use only. Use it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Clean and dry the affected area and apply the cream. Wash your hands after applying, unless hands are the affected area.

Take it exactly as your doctor prescribed. Do not change the dose or stop early on your own.

Missed dose and overdose

If you miss a dose

If you miss a dose of Ketonext Cream, apply it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

If you take too much

Taking more Ketonext than prescribed can be harmful. If you suspect an overdose, contact a doctor or go to the nearest emergency department at once, and carry the pack or strip with you. In India the emergency number is 112.

Side effects of Ketonext Cream

Most side effects of Ketonext are mild and settle as the body adjusts. Reported side effects include:

How to store Ketonext Cream

Store Ketonext below 30°C in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep the pack tightly closed and out of the reach of children. Do not use it after the expiry date printed on the pack.

Expert advice for Ketonext Cream

Do not stop early; continue using it for the full treatment duration, even if the infection improves. Stopping too soon can lead to the infection returning. Wash your hands after applying Ketonext Cream (unless you are treating your hands) to avoid spreading the infection. Avoid tight clothing and wear loose, breathable fabrics to keep the area dry and prevent irritation. Do not share towels, clothes, or personal items, as fungal infections can spread easily. Apply it about 1 inch beyond the visible edge of the infection. This helps treat areas of infection that may not be visible on the skin. Wait 20–30 minutes after application before using moisturizers or sunscreen on the same area. Do not use it on open wounds, deep cuts, or severely oozing skin unless advised by your doctor.
