Uses of Lethyrox 12.5

Hypothyroidism (underactive thyroid), thyroid hormone replacement after thyroidectomy, goitre/thyroid suppression therapy as advised by doctor

How it works

Levothyroxine is a synthetic form of thyroxine (T4), a natural thyroid hormone. It replaces deficient thyroid hormone and is converted in the body to the active hormone (T3), helping normalize metabolism, energy, heart rate and growth.

Directions for use

Oral tablet. Take exactly as prescribed, usually once daily on an empty stomach (preferably morning) 30–60 minutes before food with water. Take at the same time each day; avoid taking along with calcium/iron/antacids—keep a 4-hour gap unless advised otherwise.
