Uses of Levicem 500 Tab

Treatment of epilepsy/seizure disorders including partial (focal) onset seizures, myoclonic seizures and primary generalized tonic-clonic seizures (as advised by neurologist).

• •Reduces frequency of focal seizures
• •Useful in generalized tonic-clonic seizures
• •Lower interaction potential than many older anti-epileptics
• •Can be used as monotherapy or add-on therapy

How it works

Levetiracetam is an anti-epileptic medicine that binds to synaptic vesicle protein SV2A in the brain. This helps stabilize abnormal electrical activity and reduces the likelihood of seizures.

Directions for use

Tablet for oral use. Take exactly as prescribed, usually twice daily, at the same times each day. Can be taken with or without food; swallow whole with water. Do not stop suddenly without medical advice.
