A substitute contains the same active ingredient (salt), in the same strength, as Lulicute 1 % Lotion. The medicine inside is the same — the brand name, manufacturer and price are what differ.
All medicines sold in India, branded or generic, must meet the quality standards set by the national drug regulator (CDSCO). A lower price does not mean lower quality.
Please confirm with your doctor or pharmacist before switching brands — they will check that the strength and form match your prescription.
Lulicute 1 % Lotion contains Luliconazole 1% w/v lotion. It belongs to the Imidazole antifungal class of medicines.
Luliconazole is an imidazole antifungal that inhibits fungal ergosterol synthesis by blocking the enzyme lanosterol 14-α-demethylase. This damages the fungal cell membrane, stopping fungal growth and helping clear the infection.
For external use only. Clean and dry the affected area, then apply a thin layer of lotion to the infected skin and surrounding area once daily or as prescribed. Avoid contact with eyes, mouth, and broken skin; wash hands after application unless hands are treated. Complete the full course even if symptoms improve.
Take it exactly as your doctor prescribed. Do not change the dose or stop early on your own.
Take the missed dose of Lulicute as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed one and carry on with the usual schedule. Do not take two doses together to make up for a missed dose.
Taking more Lulicute than prescribed can be harmful. If you suspect an overdose, contact a doctor or go to the nearest emergency department at once, and carry the pack or strip with you. In India the emergency number is 112.
Most side effects of Lulicute are mild and settle as the body adjusts. Reported side effects include:
Stop the medicine and seek help immediately for a rash, swelling of the face or lips, wheezing or difficulty breathing. Tell your doctor about any side effect that persists or worries you.

For external use only. Do not apply to eyes, inside mouth/nose, or genital mucosa unless advised. Stop and consult a doctor if severe irritation, allergy, blistering or worsening occurs. Use with caution in children, large-area application, or prolonged use. If no improvement in 1–2 weeks (or as directed), seek medical advice; keep area clean and dry to prevent recurrence.
No clinically significant drug interactions expected with topical luliconazole; avoid concurrent use of other topical irritants on the same area unless prescribed.
Store below 25°C in a cool, dry place away from direct light and moisture. Keep container tightly closed and out of reach of children.
