Misapin 40 mg Tablet contains Esomeprazole 40 mg (as enteric-coated tablet). It belongs to the Proton pump inhibitor (PPI) class of medicines.

How Misapin 40 mg Tablet works

Esomeprazole is a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) that irreversibly blocks the H+/K+ ATPase enzyme (proton pump) in gastric parietal cells. This markedly reduces gastric acid secretion, relieving acidity and allowing ulcers/erosions to heal.

How to take Misapin 40 mg Tablet

Take orally as directed by a doctor, usually once daily. Swallow whole with water; do not crush or chew (enteric-coated). Preferably take 30–60 minutes before food (often before breakfast). Duration depends on the condition.

Take it exactly as your doctor prescribed. Do not change the dose or stop early on your own.

Missed dose and overdose
