Composition of Mobizox Tablet

Mobizox Tablet contains Chlorzoxazone (500mg) + Diclofenac (50mg) + Paracetamol (325mg). It belongs to the Selective COX-2 inhibitor (NSAID) class of medicines.

How Mobizox Tablet works

Etoricoxib is a selective COX-2 inhibitor (NSAID). It reduces the formation of prostaglandins responsible for pain, swelling and inflammation, while having less effect on COX-1 related gastric protection than non-selective NSAIDs.

How to take Mobizox Tablet

Tablet to be taken by mouth with water, preferably at the same time each day. Can be taken with or without food (food may delay onset). Use the lowest effective dose for the shortest duration as advised by the doctor.

Take it exactly as your doctor prescribed. Do not change the dose or stop early on your own.

Missed dose and overdose

If you miss a dose

If you miss a dose of Mobizox Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

If you take too much

An overdose of this medicine can cause deep drowsiness, muscle weakness, a fall in blood pressure and slowed breathing. It can cause stomach bleeding, kidney failure, drowsiness and fits. It can cause severe and sometimes fatal liver damage, often with no symptoms at all for the first day. Do not wait for symptoms to appear — go to the nearest emergency department and take the pack or strip with you.

Side effects of Mobizox Tablet

Most side effects of Mobizox are mild and settle as the body adjusts. Reported side effects include:

• Headache
• dizziness
• indigestion (dyspepsia)
• abdominal pain
• nausea
• diarrhoea
• swelling (oedema)
• increased blood pressure

Stop the medicine and seek help immediately for a rash, swelling of the face or lips, wheezing or difficulty breathing. Tell your doctor about any side effect that persists or worries you.

Warnings and precautions

Prescription-only (Schedule H). Not recommended in patients with active peptic ulcer/bleeding, severe liver disease, severe kidney disease, uncontrolled hypertension, established heart disease/stroke, or severe heart failure. May increase risk of cardiovascular events (heart attack, stroke), especially with higher doses/long-term use. Monitor blood pressure; use caution in elderly, dehydration, heart failure, or fluid retention. Stop and seek care if chest pain, shortness of breath, weakness on one side, black stools, vomiting blood, severe rash, or signs of allergy occur.

Do not take Mobizox if

Not for anyone with a known allergy to this medicine or to any ingredient in the pack. Not for people with myasthenia gravis or severe liver disease. Not for people with an active stomach ulcer, severe kidney or heart failure, or asthma triggered by aspirin or anti-inflammatory painkillers. Not in the third trimester of pregnancy. Not for people with severe liver disease, except under medical supervision.

Store below 25°C in a cool, dry place. Protect from moisture and light. Keep out of reach of children.

Mobizox Tablet is most effective when taken along with proper rest and physical therapy. Avoid consuming alcohol when taking Mobizox Tablet, as it may cause excessive drowsiness and increase the risk of liver damage. Older adults may have increased drowsiness, confusion, and a higher risk of falling as a result of taking Mobizox Tablet. Do not take it with any other medicine containing acetaminophen (drugs for pain/fever or cough and cold) without asking your doctor first.
