How Nervite Dx Capsule works

Nervite DX Capsule is a combination of two medicines: pregabalin and duloxetine. Pregabalin decreases neurotransmitter release, while duloxetine boosts serotonin and norepinephrine levels to modulate pain perception, working together to relieve nerve pain.

How to take Nervite Dx Capsule

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Nervite DX Capsule may be taken with or without food.

Take it exactly as your doctor prescribed. Do not change the dose or stop early on your own.

Missed dose and overdose

If you miss a dose

If you miss a dose of Nervite DX Capsule, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

If you take too much

An overdose of this medicine can cause deep drowsiness, confusion, unsteadiness and slowed breathing, especially with an opioid or alcohol. It can cause fits, dangerous heart rhythm disturbance and coma, and is particularly dangerous with the older tricyclic medicines. Do not wait for symptoms to appear — go to the nearest emergency department and take the pack or strip with you.

Side effects of Nervite Dx Capsule

Most side effects of Nervite Dx are mild and settle as the body adjusts. Reported side effects include:

Stop the medicine and seek help immediately for a rash, swelling of the face or lips, wheezing or difficulty breathing. Tell your doctor about any side effect that persists or worries you.

Safety advice for Nervite Dx Capsule

Warnings and precautions

This medicine causes drowsiness and unsteadiness, particularly when you start it or the dose goes up. Do not drive or operate machinery until you know how it affects you. Never stop it suddenly. Stopping abruptly can cause anxiety, sleeplessness, sweating and, in people taking it for epilepsy, fits. Your doctor will taper it. Tell your doctor about any change in mood or any thoughts of harming yourself. The dose is usually built up slowly from a low starting point — follow the schedule your doctor gave you rather than jumping to the full dose. Pregabalin comes under Schedule H1 from 16 November 2026 and will then need a prescription and a pharmacy register entry. These medicines take two to four weeks to begin working, and longer for the full effect. Stopping at two weeks because nothing has changed is the commonest mistake. Never stop suddenly. Abrupt withdrawal causes dizziness, electric-shock sensations, irritability and flu-like symptoms — your doctor will reduce the dose gradually. Tell your doctor or go to hospital immediately if thoughts of harming yourself appear or worsen, particularly in the first weeks or after a dose change, and especially in anyone under twenty-five. Seek urgent care for agitation with fever, shivering, a racing heart, muscle twitching or confusion, particularly if more than one medicine affecting serotonin is being taken. Side effects are usually worst in the first fortnight and then settle.

Do not take Nervite Dx if

Not for anyone with a known allergy to this medicine or to any ingredient in the pack. Must not be combined with a monoamine oxidase inhibitor, or started within the gap your doctor specifies after one.

Interactions with other medicines

Opioid painkillers, alcohol, sleeping tablets and antihistamines all add to the drowsiness, and the combination with opioids can dangerously slow breathing. Antacids reduce the absorption of gabapentin — separate them by a couple of hours. Tramadol, triptans for migraine, linezolid, St John's wort and other antidepressants can together raise serotonin dangerously. Anti-inflammatory painkillers and blood thinners increase the bleeding risk when combined with this group.

Store below 30°C in the original pack, away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep out of the reach of children.

Expert advice for Nervite Dx Capsule

Nervite DX Capsule is used for treating nerve pain caused by diabetes, shingles, fibromyalgia, and spinal cord injuries. You may have to wait for 2 to 4 weeks before it starts working. It may cause dizziness during the first few weeks. Don't drive or do anything requiring concentration until you know how Nervite DX Capsule affects you. Avoid consuming alcohol when taking this medicine as it may cause excessive drowsiness and increase the risk of liver damage. Monitor your blood pressure regularly, especially during the first month of treatment. It may cause a sensation of restlessness or an inability to sit or stand still, especially when you first start taking it. Inform your doctor if this happens to you. Inform your doctor if you develop any unusual changes in mood or behavior, new or worsening depression, or suicidal thoughts or behavior. Do not stop taking the medication suddenly without talking to your doctor.
