A substitute contains the same active ingredient (salt), in the same strength, as Nexpro Rd 20 Cap 10S. The medicine inside is the same — the brand name, manufacturer and price are what differ.
All medicines sold in India, branded or generic, must meet the quality standards set by the national drug regulator (CDSCO). A lower price does not mean lower quality.
Please confirm with your doctor or pharmacist before switching brands — they will check that the strength and form match your prescription.
Use with caution in liver disease. Domperidone may increase risk of QT prolongation/serious heart rhythm problems; avoid in patients with known QT prolongation, significant cardiac disease, or with electrolyte disturbances (low potassium/magnesium). Not recommended in moderate to severe hepatic impairment. Long-term PPI use may be associated with low magnesium, vitamin B12 deficiency, fractures, and increased infection risk (e.g., C. difficile); use lowest effective dose. Seek medical advice if alarm symptoms occur (blood in vomit/black stools, unexplained weight loss, persistent vomiting, difficulty swallowing).
