How OneTouch Select Plus Test Strip works

Each strip contains reagents that react with glucose in a small drop of capillary blood. The meter measures the electrochemical signal generated by this reaction and converts it into a blood glucose reading.

How to take OneTouch Select Plus Test Strip

For in-vitro diagnostic use only. Insert a new OneTouch Select Plus test strip into the compatible meter, apply a small drop of fresh blood to the strip tip as directed, and read the result on the meter. Use each strip only once; follow the meter/strip instructions for coding (if applicable) and proper sampling. Use with clean, dry hands.

Take it exactly as your doctor prescribed. Do not change the dose or stop early on your own.

Missed dose and overdose

If you miss a dose

Take the missed dose of OneTouch Select Plus Test Strip as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed one and carry on with the usual schedule. Do not take two doses together to make up for a missed dose.

If you take too much

Taking more OneTouch Select Plus Test Strip than prescribed can be harmful. If you suspect an overdose, contact a doctor or go to the nearest emergency department at once, and carry the pack or strip with you. In India the emergency number is 112.
