Treatment of Type 2 diabetes mellitus
Pioz MF 15 Tablet SR is a combination of two antidiabetic medicines:
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Pioz MF 15 Tablet SR should be taken with or after food.
Take it exactly as your doctor prescribed. Do not change the dose or stop early on your own.
If you miss a dose of Pioz MF 15 Tablet SR, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
Taking more Pioz Mf than prescribed can be harmful. If you suspect an overdose, contact a doctor or go to the nearest emergency department at once, and carry the pack or strip with you. In India the emergency number is 112.
Most side effects of Pioz Mf are mild and settle as the body adjusts. Reported side effects include:
Stop the medicine and seek help immediately for a rash, swelling of the face or lips, wheezing or difficulty breathing. Tell your doctor about any side effect that persists or worries you.

Tell your doctor or pharmacist about every medicine you take, including over-the-counter products, vitamins and herbal or ayurvedic preparations, before starting Pioz Mf. Some combinations can change how Pioz Mf works or raise the chance of side effects.
Store Pioz Mf below 30°C in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep the pack tightly closed and out of the reach of children. Do not use it after the expiry date printed on the pack.
Take it as per the dose and duration prescribed by your doctor. Monitor your blood sugar level regularly while you are taking this medicine. It can cause hypoglycemia (low blood sugar level) when used with other antidiabetic medicines, alcohol or if you delay or miss a meal. Always carry some sugary food or fruit juice with you in case you experience hypoglycemic symptoms such as cold sweats, cool pale skin, tremor, and anxiety. Your doctor may check your liver function regularly. Inform your doctor if you develop symptoms such as abdominal pain, loss of appetite, or yellowing of the eyes or skin (jaundice). Inform your doctor if you notice weight gain, shortness of breath, irregular heartbeat, or any abnormal swelling.
