Practin EN Syrup contains Cyproheptadine (2mg/5ml) + Tricholine Citrate (275mg/5ml). It belongs to the First-generation H1 antihistamine (piperidine) with antiserotonergic properties class of medicines.

How Practin EN Syrup works

How to take Practin EN Syrup

Oral syrup. Take only as directed by the physician; measure with a dosing cup/spoon. Can be taken with or without food; if it causes stomach upset, take with food. May cause drowsiness—prefer taking in the evening if advised and avoid driving.

Take it exactly as your doctor prescribed. Do not change the dose or stop early on your own.

Missed dose and overdose

If you miss a dose

Take it as soon as you remember. If your next dose is almost due, skip the one you missed — never take two doses together to catch up.

If you take too much

An overdose of this medicine can cause severe drowsiness, a fast heartbeat, confusion and, in children, agitation and fits. It may cause loose motions and stomach upset. Do not wait for symptoms to appear — go to the nearest emergency department and take the pack or strip with you.

Do not take Practin EN if

Alcohol and other CNS depressants (sedatives, benzodiazepines, opioids) increase drowsiness; MAO inhibitors (e.g., selegiline, linezolid) may enhance anticholinergic/CNS effects; other anticholinergics (e.g., tricyclic antidepressants) may increase dry mouth/constipation/urinary retention

Store below 25°C in a cool, dry place away from light. Do not freeze. Keep bottle tightly closed and out of reach of children.
