Warnings and precautions
Older antihistamines cause marked drowsiness — do not drive or operate machinery until you know how this affects you. Tell your doctor promptly about any change in mood, sleep, agitation or unusual thoughts while taking montelukast; this is uncommon but recognised. This relieves the symptoms of an allergy; it does not treat the cause, and it is not a treatment for an acute asthma attack. Seek emergency care for swelling of the lips, tongue or throat, or difficulty breathing.
Do not take Rapidon if
Not for anyone with a known allergy to this medicine or to any ingredient in the pack. The sedating antihistamines are not suitable for very young children, or for people with glaucoma or an enlarged prostate, without medical advice.
Interactions with other medicines
Alcohol, sleeping tablets and other sedating medicines add to the drowsiness. Tell your doctor about all cold and cough preparations — many already contain an antihistamine.

Store below 30°C, away from direct sunlight. Discard the bottle one month after you first open it, even if some is left. Keep out of the reach of children.

You have been prescribed Rapidon Eye Drop to relieve red, itchy and watery eyes caused due to allergic eye diseases. If you wear soft contact lenses, remove them before putting in these eye drops and wait at least 15 minutes before putting your lenses back in. Do not touch the tip of the dropper to any surface, or to your eye, to avoid contaminating the eye drops. Side effects such as eye pain or irritation, dry eyes, abnormal sensation in the eyes, headache may occur after using Rapidon Eye Drop. These are usually mild and may not be with everyone. It may cause short term blurring of vision when first used. Use caution before driving or using machines. Make sure to use within 4 weeks of opening the bottle.
