Rcifax Suspension contains Rifaximin (200mg).
Rcifax Tablet is used in the treatment of infectious diarrhoea.
Rcifax Tablet is an antibiotic. It works by stopping the growth of bacteria that cause infectious diarrhea.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Rcifax Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
Take it exactly as your doctor prescribed. Do not change the dose or stop early on your own.
Take the missed dose of Rcifax as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed one and carry on with the usual schedule. Do not take two doses together to make up for a missed dose.
Taking more Rcifax than prescribed can be harmful. If you suspect an overdose, contact a doctor or go to the nearest emergency department at once, and carry the pack or strip with you. In India the emergency number is 112.
Most side effects of Rcifax are mild and settle as the body adjusts. Reported side effects include:
Stop the medicine and seek help immediately for a rash, swelling of the face or lips, wheezing or difficulty breathing. Tell your doctor about any side effect that persists or worries you.

Tell your doctor or pharmacist about every medicine you take, including over-the-counter products, vitamins and herbal or ayurvedic preparations, before starting Rcifax. Some combinations can change how Rcifax works or raise the chance of side effects.
Store Rcifax below 30°C in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep the pack tightly closed and out of the reach of children. Do not use it after the expiry date printed on the pack.

If your symptoms do not improve after three days, inform your doctor. Do not take a second course of Rcifax Tablet .</li> <li>It may cause reddish discoloration of urine. This is normal and harmless.</li> <li>Stop taking Rcifax Tablet and inform your doctor if your diarrhoea gets worse or starts to contain blood or mucus.</li> <li>Finish the full course of the medication, even if you feel better. Stopping the course early increases the risk of coming back of the infection.</li></ul></div></div></div></div></div></div>
