Refzil O 250 mg Tablet is an antibiotic. It kills bacteria by preventing them from forming the bacterial protective covering (cell wall) which is needed for them to survive.
Take the missed dose of Refzil O as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed one and carry on with the usual schedule. Do not take two doses together to make up for a missed dose.
Taking more Refzil O than prescribed can be harmful. If you suspect an overdose, contact a doctor or go to the nearest emergency department at once, and carry the pack or strip with you. In India the emergency number is 112.
Most side effects of Refzil O are mild and settle as the body adjusts. Reported side effects include:
Stop the medicine and seek help immediately for a rash, swelling of the face or lips, wheezing or difficulty breathing. Tell your doctor about any side effect that persists or worries you.

| Alcohol | It is generally safe to consume alcohol with Refzil O 250 mg Tablet. |
| Kidney | Refzil O 250 mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Refzil O 250 mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor. |
| Liver | Refzil O 250 mg Tablet is safe to use in patients with liver disease. No dose adjustment of Refzil O 250 mg Tablet is recommended. |
Tell your doctor or pharmacist about every medicine you take, including over-the-counter products, vitamins and herbal or ayurvedic preparations, before starting Refzil O. Some combinations can change how Refzil O works or raise the chance of side effects.
Store Refzil O below 30°C in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep the pack tightly closed and out of the reach of children. Do not use it after the expiry date printed on the pack.
