Uses of SAFLUTAN EYE DROPS

Reduction of elevated intraocular pressure (IOP) in open-angle glaucoma and ocular hypertension

• •Lowers elevated intraocular pressure
• •Helps slow progression of open-angle glaucoma
• •Once-daily dosing
• •Improves aqueous humour outflow

How it works

Tafluprost is a prostaglandin F2α analogue. It increases uveoscleral (and to some extent trabecular) outflow of aqueous humour from the eye, thereby lowering intraocular pressure.

Directions for use

For ophthalmic use only. Typically instill 1 drop in the affected eye(s) once daily in the evening, or as directed by an ophthalmologist. Do not use more than once daily. If using other eye drops, keep a 5–10 minute gap. Remove contact lenses before use and reinsert after at least 15 minutes (if applicable).

Side effects

Common side effects of SAFLUTAN EYE DROPS may include:

• •Eye redness (conjunctival hyperaemia)

• •blurred vision
• •dry eye
