How Selzic OD 900 mg works

S-adenosyl-L-methionine (SAMe) is a naturally occurring methyl donor involved in synthesis of neurotransmitters and phospholipids. It may help reduce pain and improve joint function in osteoarthritis and supports liver cell membrane function and bile flow in certain cholestatic conditions.

How to take Selzic OD 900 mg

Tablet (OD/once daily): take as prescribed, preferably on an empty stomach (30–60 minutes before food) with water; swallow whole, do not crush/chew. Follow duration advised by the doctor.

Take it exactly as your doctor prescribed. Do not change the dose or stop early on your own.

Missed dose and overdose

If you miss a dose

If you miss a dose of Selzic-OD 600mg Tablet ER, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.\n

An overdose of this medicine can cause deep unconsciousness, slowed breathing and dangerous heart rhythm disturbance. Do not wait for symptoms to appear — go to the nearest emergency department and take the pack or strip with you.

Do not take Selzic OD if

Several are not suitable in significant liver disease.

Antidepressants (SSRIs/SNRIs/TCAs), MAO inhibitors, serotonergic agents (tramadol, linezolid, triptans, St John’s wort) – risk of serotonin syndrome; levodopa (may reduce effect when used with levodopa alone); anticoagulants/antiplatelets (theoretical bleeding risk)
