Composition of Silodal M 25 Tablet

Silodal M 25 Tablet contains Mirabegron (25mg) + Silodosin (8mg). It belongs to the Alpha-1A blocker + Beta-3 adrenergic agonist class of medicines.

Uses of Silodal M 25 Tablet

• Treatment of lower urinary tract symptoms (LUTS) associated with benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) and overactive bladder symptoms such as urinary frequency

How Silodal M 25 Tablet works

Silodosin is a selective alpha-1A adrenergic blocker that relaxes smooth muscles in the prostate and bladder neck, improving urine flow and reducing BPH symptoms. Mirabegron is a beta-3 adrenergic agonist that relaxes the detrusor muscle during the storage phase, increasing bladder capacity and reducing urgency and frequency.

How to take Silodal M 25 Tablet

Take by mouth exactly as prescribed by the doctor, usually once daily. Preferably take at the same time each day; silodosin-containing products are commonly advised to be taken with food to reduce side effects. Swallow whole with water; do not crush or chew.

Take it exactly as your doctor prescribed. Do not change the dose or stop early on your own.

Missed dose and overdose

If you miss a dose

Take it as soon as you remember. If your next dose is almost due, skip the one you missed — never take two doses together to catch up.

If you take too much

An overdose of this medicine may be harmful — seek medical advice immediately. Do not wait for symptoms to appear — go to the nearest emergency department and take the pack or strip with you.

Side effects of Silodal M 25 Tablet

Most side effects of Silodal M are mild and settle as the body adjusts. Reported side effects include:

• Dizziness
• headache
• diarrhoea
• nasal congestion
• retrograde ejaculation
• low blood pressure on standing (orthostatic hypotension)
• increased heart rate (tachycardia)
• raised blood pressure
• urinary tract infection

Stop the medicine and seek help immediately for a rash, swelling of the face or lips, wheezing or difficulty breathing. Tell your doctor about any side effect that persists or worries you.

Safety advice for Silodal M 25 Tablet

Warnings and precautions

Use with caution in patients with low blood pressure, dizziness/falls risk, severe kidney disease or severe liver disease; dose adjustment may be needed based on renal function. Mirabegron can increase blood pressure—monitor BP, especially in hypertension; not recommended in severe uncontrolled hypertension. May cause dizziness—avoid driving/operating machinery if affected. Tell your doctor if you have urinary retention risk, bladder outlet obstruction, heart rhythm problems, or are on multiple BP medicines.

Not for anyone with a known allergy to this medicine or to any ingredient in the pack. Your doctor will confirm this medicine is suitable for you.

Interactions with other medicines

Strong CYP3A4 inhibitors (ketoconazole, itraconazole, ritonavir, clarithromycin) may increase silodosin levels; alpha-blockers with PDE5 inhibitors (sildenafil/tadalafil) or antihypertensives can increase hypotension risk. Mirabegron inhibits CYP2D6—can increase levels of metoprolol, desipramine, flecainide, propafenone, thioridazine; caution with digoxin (may increase digoxin levels) and other drugs that raise BP/HR.

How to store Silodal M 25 Tablet

Store at room temperature (below 25°C), protected from moisture and direct light. Keep in original blister pack and out of reach of children.
