Sputnix-Ls Junior Syrup is used for helps in productive cough (wet cough) with thick mucus, chest congestion and wheezing associated with bronchitis/airway infections.
Medically reviewed by Dr. Balaji Krishnan, MBBS · Updated August 2026
LS combinations typically contain a bronchodilator to relax airway muscles and open the airways, a mucolytic to thin and loosen mucus, and an expectorant to help expel phlegm. This reduces chest congestion and makes coughing out mucus easier.
Oral syrup. Shake well before use. Measure with a dosing cup/spoon and give only the dose prescribed by the doctor (paediatric dose varies by age/weight). Can be taken with or without food; give with food if stomach upset occurs. Maintain adequate fluids.
Take it exactly as your doctor prescribed. Do not change the dose or stop early on your own.
Take the missed dose of Sputnix-Ls Junior as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed one and carry on with the usual schedule. Do not take two doses together to make up for a missed dose.
Taking more Sputnix-Ls Junior than prescribed can be harmful. If you suspect an overdose, contact a doctor or go to the nearest emergency department at once, and carry the pack or strip with you. In India the emergency number is 112.
Most side effects of Sputnix-Ls Junior are mild and settle as the body adjusts. Reported side effects include:
Stop the medicine and seek help immediately for a rash, swelling of the face or lips, wheezing or difficulty breathing. Tell your doctor about any side effect that persists or worries you.

Other beta-agonists/bronchodilators, beta-blockers (may reduce effect), MAO inhibitors/tricyclic antidepressants (may increase cardiovascular effects), diuretics/corticosteroids (may increase risk of low potassium), digoxin (arrhythmia risk with hypokalemia), antitussives like codeine/dextromethorphan (may hinder mucus clearance)
